10-Step Guide to Making a Personal Injury Claim

Making a Personal Injury Claim We firmly believe our success in obtaining fair and just judgments and settlements on behalf of our clients is directly tied to client education and preparation. We feel the best way to educate and prepare a client for this journey is to explain, in detail, the process of filing a personal injury claim from start to finish.

We are pleased to offer clients and prospective clients a comprehensive, 10-step guide to making a personal injury claim. This guide book methodically walks a person through the entire claim process from initial event/injury to post-judgment. While the guide offers a very high level of detail, it is written in layman’s terms that are easy to understand.

It is our hope that after reading the guide, a client or prospective client will feel informed and empowered. To view an electronic version of the guidebook, click on the image. If you would like a printed copy, contact us at (314) 421-0763 or

Matt Devoti Awarded Highest Honor from Martindale-Hubbell

Late in 2016, Matt Devoti was awarded the Martindale-Hubbell highest possible rating of AV Preeminent for 10 years. AV Preeminent

Attorneys looking to refer a client, as well as individuals researching lawyers for their own legal needs, use these rating to identify, evaluate and select the most appropriate and qualified lawyer for their specific situation.

Attorneys Lead Two Lectures in March

In mid-March, Matt Devoti and Matt Casey were among a handful of attorneys who presented a seminar on ‘Uninsured and Underinsured Motorists Law’. The seminar was split into seven sections, with each section addressing a different aspect of the prosecution and defense of claims brought by an insured against her motor vehicle insurance company.

Matt and Matt teamed up with another attorney to cover two sections of the presentation, which included ‘medical discovery’ and ‘real life scenarios’ that counsel often confronts when dealing with an uninsured motorist case. The seminar took place on March 16th in St. Louis.

Additionally, Matt Devoti recently helped teach a class sponsored by the Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program at the University of Missouri St. Louis. The class, titled “Legal Issues Related to Volunteer Management,” addressed how legal regulations impact nonprofit organizations and, specifically, how regulations relate to the use and oversight of volunteers. Matt offered his insight and guidance on the liability of nonprofit organizations and volunteers, legal protection for volunteers, and the use of and validity of waivers and releases. The class was held on March 24th at the J.C. Penney Conference Center on the UM-St. Louis campus.

Winner of Past Client Survey

As part of our ongoing commitment to legendary personal service, we periodically conduct past-client surveys. As a token of our appreciation for completing the survey, we will enter all respondents into a drawing for a $25 Target gift card.

We will use this valuable feedback to help us better understand how clients find us, what they value in a personal injury attorney/firm, and how we can earn a client’s highest compliment — a referral.

A special thank you to everyone who completed our 2016 year-end survey; and congratulations to Arnold B. — he is the lucky winner of the gift card.
