Partner Matt Devoti Appointed to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s National Leadership Council

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s National Board of Trustees recently appointed Partner Matthew J. Devoti to its National Leadership Council. In March 2018, Matt was recognized for his outstanding personal contributions to the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during the national foundation’s Volunteer Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.  This annual leadership conference brings together volunteers from across the country to share ideas, discuss fundraising initiatives, and learn about the progress being made in treating cystic fibrosis.

Devoti’s Commitment to the Gateway Chapter

With family members afflicted with cystic fibrosis, Matt has long-held a personal interest in helping the Gateway chapter.  He began by volunteering to ‘co-host’ the Foundation’s annual Wine Opener fundraiser.  His success quickly led to an invitation to join the board of directors in 2013.  While serving as a board member, he continued to ‘co-host’ the Wine Opener, which raised close to $75,000 annually for the Foundation.  In 2017, Matt took the reigns as Foundation president and again continued his commitment to ‘co-host’ the annual wine tasting fundraiser.  With Matt’s leadership, an amazing foundation staff and an army of dedicated volunteers, the 2017 Wine Opener shattered its goal by raising over $100,000.

For several years, Matt and the firm have also supported the Gateway Chapter by sponsoring a table at the Foundation’s annual ‘Reach For a Star’ gala – which raises over $400,000 annually.   All money raised goes to support the Foundation’s mission to help people living with cystic fibrosis live longer, more productive lives.
