Partner Matt Devoti to Deliver ‘End Distracted Driving’ Message at Stephens College

Distracted driving is an epidemic in the United States. One in four accidents in the U.S. are cell-phone related. Every day 11 teenagers die in car accidents because they were distracted by their cell phones.

Feeling compelled to educate the community about the devastating effects of distracted driving, St. Louis personal injury attorneys Matt Casey and Matt Devoti became authorized speakers for the EndDD.org’s ‘End Distracted Driving Student Awareness Program’.

Partner Matt Devoti will bring this important message to the campus of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri on Wednesday, March 13th. The presentation will be held in the Kimball Ballroom of the Lela Raney Wood Hall at 7 p.m. The program is free and open to students, faculty and the general public. Parking is available in the visitor lot at Walnut and College Streets.

This interactive presentation offers the sobering statistics of the current safety crisis, shares true stories of the costs of distracted driving, and offers simple steps that drivers can use immediately to help themselves and others around them ‘End Distracted Driving’.

Matt Devoti – Partner and Authorized Speaker for EndDD.org’s
‘End Distracted Driving Student Awareness Program’

“Distracted driving is a huge problem for people of all ages – not just teens. That is the message we want to get across to these young drivers,” said Matt Devoti. “We want them to be aware of the consequences whether it’s them, their parent or their friend who is driving distracted. The presentation offers eye-opening insight and concrete solutions to the problem that they can implement right away.”

EndDD.org (End Distracted Driving) was established to raise awareness and generate action against the epidemic of distracted driving. It was created by Joel Feldman and Dianne Anderson after the death of their daughter, Casey Feldman, in 2009. Casey was just 21 years old when, as a pedestrian, she was hit and killed by a distracted driver. Learn more about EndDD.org and preview the presentation at www.EndDD.org.
