Matthew Casey

Matt has helped numerous individuals obtain compensation for injuries sustained due to the fault of others. The types of cases Matt has successfully handled in his career include medical malpractice, car accidents, slip and falls, workers’ compensation and products liability. In addition to handling personal injury and wrongful death matters, Matt also has experience litigating business disputes. He has tried various cases to a jury and has argued several cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Casey & Devoti, Matt worked for a large corporate defense firm where Matt was able to gain valuable insight as to how corporations and insurance companies handle the defense of personal injury cases.
Matt graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2000 where he earned a certificate in Health Law. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in biology from Boston College in 1996. Prior to entering law school, Matt worked at St. Louis University’s Medical School performing genetics research. Matt is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois.
He is a member of the Missouri Bar, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, The American Association of Justice, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Lawyers Association of St. Louis. Matt currently serves as President Elect of the Lawyers Association of St. Louis.
Matt and his wife, Rebecca, live in Richmond Heights with their daughter, Evelyn, and son, Henry. Matt is active in his church, Little Flower Catholic Church, where he recently finished a five-year term on on the Parish Council.
