Matt Casey Serves as Lay Director of Youth Soccer

For the past six years, Partner Matt Casey has served as Lay Director of CYC (Catholic Youth Council) soccer for his parish, Little Flower Catholic Church and School.

Soccer is very popular in St. Louis, especially among catholic schools and churches.  Taking on the role of Soccer Director for a parish is a monumental administrative task that includes, recruiting coaches, forming teams, handling registrations, communicating with players and coaches, scheduling practice fields, ordering uniforms, and much more.

Matt began his service when his daughter, Evelyn, started playing CYC soccer through their parish.  Even though Evelyn has moved on to volleyball, he continues to assist with the soccer program – a sport he loves and grew up playing through the Catholic Youth Council.  He welcomes the opportunity to give back to these organizations that enable so many young kids to play competitive sports throughout St. Louis.
