Thomas Casey

Spanning four generations, the Casey family has practiced law in downtown St. Louis since 1905. Charles W. Casey graduated from Washinton University Law School in 1905 and practiced at 705 Olive until he retired in 1939. His son, John C. Casey graduated from St. Louis University Law School in 1933 and practiced personal injury law in association with the late Mark D. Eagleton. He was appointed Judge of the Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis in 1956 and served in that office until his death in 1975.
Thomas J. Casey attended Georgetown University and St. Louis University School of Law and has practiced in the field of personal injury litigation since admission to the Missouri Bar in 1973. His son Matthew C. Casey practices with him as a partner.
Tom actively participates in Bar activities. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Missouri Bar, as well as a member of its Select Committee on Lawyer Advertising. Tom served as President of the Lawyers Association of St. Louis and as Chairman of the Trial Section of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. he also serves as Disciplinary Hearing Officer under appointment by The Missouri Supreme Court. He previously served as General Chairman of the Missouri Bar Region XI Disciplinary Committee. he frequently speaks at continuing Legal Education programs on subjects germane to the personal injury practice. Tom h as been rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.
Tom served the City of Richmond Heights both as a Councilman and as its Prosecuting Attorney. He also served in the Missouri National Guard and United States Army Reserve. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction.
Tom is married to Trish, his wife of over 35 years and has four children: Matthew, Michael, Ellen, and Anne.
