Personal Injury Litigation
Our lawyers handle cases in which a person has been injured or killed as the result of the actions of another. Many of our cases involve injury or death suffered in a car accident, truck accident, at work or due to the negligence of a professional - whether a doctor, nurse, lawyer or stockbroker. When you or your family has suffered harm due to the negligence of another person or company, you are entitled under the law to be compensated by an amount equal to that harm. Our lawyers and staff have the experience and the access to resources necessary to properly represent you against corporations and insurance companies to make sure you are fully compensated.
Commercial Litigation
In addition to personal injury cases, our lawyers have represented various small to mid-sized companies in commercial disputes. We have had success in all types of commercial cases including contract disputes, non-compete violations, and trade secret violations.
We realize the economic constraints small corporations face when presented with the prospect of litigation. The large hourly fees charged by many of the large corporate law firms are not economically feasible for many small companies. In many situations, an otherwise meritorious case for a small company becomes economically unviable because of large hourly fees. Our attorneys understand this, and we are always willing to work with our clients to develop a fee schedule that is in their best interest. We have worked with small businesses under contingent fee agreements, on an hourly fee basis, and have even worked under a blended rate structure.
Case Selection
We do not accept every case that is offered to us. On the contrary, we only accept cases that we believe are meritorious. Once we accept a case, we commit to vigorously pursue that case to conclusion, even if that means through trial and appeal.
Our lawyers understand that the firm’s strength is in trial work. We do not accept cases outside our area of concentration. We do not handle divorces, criminal cases, estate planning or bankruptcies. We know other attorneys competent in those areas and will gladly provide their names to you. We prefer to concentrate in the area we know best.
Community Participation
In addition to providing professional legal services, our lawyers are active in the legal community. They actively participate in attorney organizations, contribute to legal publications and speak to other lawyers and community groups about legal issues. In sum, our lawyers consciously work to create an environment beneficial to our clients and to stay apprised of the most recent legal issues.
Referrals
The majority of our clients are referred by other lawyers. We like to believe that fact speaks volumes about the reputation for competency and integrity in the field of injury litigation which we have developed among our peers. Our other principal source of referral is former clients. We take pride when former clients are sufficiently satisfied with our services to recommend us to their family and friends.
We do not advertise on television, radio or billboards to attract clients. We never have and we never will. We believe that the practice of law is first and foremost a profession - not a business. We believe that promotional advertising by lawyers on television and radio, on billboards and on the back of buses is beneath the dignity of the legal profession.
